Real danger of the immigrants

Protect your democracy first

If your democracy has no constitutional protection against itself, then the immigrants are very dangerous to you.
They start voting to take freedoms back, to turn it back into the illiberal place they came from.

Wait, you expect me to rant here about immigrants being bad, horrible and all that, but no. I’m gonna tell you that your states are horrible even before they arrive.

If your rights are not protected even before you have a huge population with illiberal values, they are going to bite you in the ass when you invite a lot of people, immigrants from countries where they originate, potentially with values against freedom. Because now they are your voters and they are equal to you and they can vote to establish the rule as it was in their home countries.
However, the opposite: if you had strong constitutional protections, and your freedoms are protected no matter what the voters say, you could import half the world from anywhere and stay strong because of it, and suffer no consequences of importing, not a huge amount of, say, dilution of some sorts.

Not all places the same

Even worse is the practice some follow, which becomes their doom.
When immigrants come to America, they are not treated as anything special. They cross the border, yes, hiding, and no privileges are granted, no rights are granted. If anything, they have no rights, so they have to accept the rules of the game. But they can potentially stay as undocumented illegal immigrants if they work and don’t make too much noise, don’t demand anything and all that.
Nobody grants privileges, nobody teaches them that they are any kind of special. The very first thing they know is it is the land of the free, they have the First Amendment, they are going to be treated potentially bad, people gonna be racist to them, and this is their absolute right to do so. So suck it up, prepare, go live here, and enjoy the same rights as every other citizen.

And what Europeans do? They shower them in benefits, they shower them in preferential treatment – they get treated better than they deserve, better than the native citizens. And they teach them exactly that: that they at this point somehow have more protections than even the native citizens, more rights to violate other rights than you typically would get. You can’t let anybody be racist, well nobody could say anything bad to them and all that.

And well, of course, when you teach them that they have privileges and can demand privileges, what they do? They do exactly what you taught them. They start demanding privileges, they start making their own rules instead of adapting. Couple of years later, you have established reverse racism against your own population, being supported by those minorities you invited in, and the idiot wokes who support the whole scheme. For some time. Until they themselves get hit by the same treatment.

See how one place teaches them to be equal right from the start, and another teaches that they can demand the change to their own customs, to their own desires and all that.
Surprise! Couple of turns later, and your courts vote against your very constitution in favor of those minorities.

By the way, the problem was that whoever comes to your country with completely different ideas can create discussion of issues that would never be happening if they didn’t come. And you had no protection against such a thing. You never thought before or never cared.

And how you gonna solve it if you wake up? How do you teach them that they no longer have preferential treatment and all that? You get only more conflict instead of forcing them to adapt to your culture, instead of changing yourself to adapt to them. Can you even push back?

General rule

And that potentially could have been not about any immigrants at all. You don’t need specifically that class of people.
Any radical or different group would do – be it religious, ideological, or whatever else.
You only need the state where every issue can potentially be voted for without strong constitutional protections, where the initiatives are struck down from the start, regardless of whatever minority or majority they come from.
